DREAMLAND

With also looking at a comic book theme, they are like their own storyboard which will massively help me with this with figures and how movement is represented within them

- The colour blue is a colour that seems to be a constant in a younger boy's room, as well as space which I believe are the things you may normally associate with a boy of this age usually

- Themed rooms are a huge thing as well. Either being space, Star Wars, Marvel, or a mix of all of them, and that is how I would like my characters room to be

These watercolours were created on ProCreate. It is a beautiful location and really gives a fantastic contrast to the science fiction of the Dreamland (Cybertron)

There is so much variety in the buildings, in shape, size, and colour. No one is the same, so this is something I need to incorporate into my dreamland illustrations

Extra note: My city design was heavily inspired by the IDW Transformers comic books and I have added my own features and detailing.

I also illustrated these on ProCreate

Extra note: These are pre-existing characters from the IDW Transformers comic books, and I used my figures of them to create the illustrations in my own style using ProCreate. Credit to IDW Comics for the designs of Rodimus and Drift, used in 'More Than Meets The Eye" comic series, and "The Lost Light" series

I created this SketchUp room for my character in his Yorkshire house. I find this a lot easier when designing, especially to get an accurate sense of scale of the room and furniture

Reflection

This project was amazing, I loved creating everything, especially doing a storyboard too which was my first time making one. Also, it was great I got to use a topic I knew so much about too and really got to dive into the world of Transformers. It was interesting to have to make a real-life bedroom and then a comparison dreamland was a fun task. It is also great to see for myself that my technical drawing skills are improving with each one that I do. The same goes for my model-making skills. I really tried to go into great depth with this project in research and design.
